  3. Dear

do you know any ragas or tunes to console minds of people who is suffering from illness or mental worries ? if so please let us know if possible

  4. your voice is very inspiring. My son aged 12 years is learning violin for the past 10 months. when he started geetham, I wanted to help him by singing those songs. My son has gone for carnatic vocal when he was 6 years old. I went through carnatic music websites and found your voice and teaching swaras and songs together in slow manner. I liked this. for a beginner like me, it teaches more about music. your voice has more clarity in swaras and song altogether in perfect pronounciation. Thank you for your work. we look forward to your songs in future.

  5. Madam,
You sing very well. I am a great fan of your song “rere sriramachandra”. I am a great fan of musicians like Balamuralikrishna, MS Subbalaxmi, Yesudas etc. I did try to find if any of these sung this song, and couldnt. I have learnt violin incompletely for a while, and I’ve continued to sing on my own the songs I like, thus I have some knowledge of sa,re,ga,ma.. and I have to tell you that your voice is amazing. Keep up the good work. Is there a CD or a link to download your music? Please let me know. Sincerely, Balaji

    1. Balaji,

Thanks for your kind words. I don’t have my works in CD format that is published, planning to work more on the website, please keep visiting 🙂

      Thanks | Karthika

I am able to learn the sahityam of simple geethams in about 3-4 days. I appreciate the kindness of poeple such as yourself in helping poeple like me to enjoy and fall in love with Karnatic music.

  11. fantastic.,ideal ascending work that any one can follow. giving knowledge is the best way to study and to become more familiar to it. you are doing it from the begining. keep it up. Best wishes and blessings

  12. I love Carnatic music and learned it in my childhood, but I am not at all familiar with the basic theory of carnatic music. I really apprecaite your work and time you are spending on this portal. As with Zero knowledge on basics I get lot of questions, and sometimes I get the answers from these music realted blogs and portals. When I go back and practice my lessons I get confused with the swaras. How do we differentiate R1 with R2 while singing. Can you please uplo an audio file with the variations of the swaras like R1vs. R2 G1vs.G2 etc.

    Best Regards,
    Sreedevi

    1. Good to know about your interest in Music.
Keep exploring the subject. I will upload the audio clips soon.
      Good Luck!

      Thanks,
      Karthika

  13. Vani,
Sorry for the delay in response. I overlooked the notification for this comment.

Sarali Varisas are meant for practice and their purpose is to get thorough with the notes. As i understand, there is no definitive list of Sarali/Janta varisas but it exists for Tarasthayi/Madhyasthayi varisas. Different combinations of notes are very much possible as long as they comply to the raga Mayamalavagaula.

    Thanks,
    Karthika

  14. I am very new to music, so this question may seem silly, but why are there different sets in Sarali Varisai? I have gone through many sites on the internet and my notes and everyone of them seem to have their own combination within their set. Your clarifications will be of great help for a confused novice like me.

    Thanks in advance,
    Vani
